Re-learn how to align your bones (you actually knew this as a toddler) for greater flexibility, more genuine strength, ease of movement and pain-free living. With bones aligned for natural support, muscles don’t have to strain and struggle to hold us up. The best athletes in the world, the ones at the top of their game, instinctively know this, and people who age into their 70s and 80s with extended spines and flexible joints have never lost what every one of us first discovered as young children learning how to stand and walk.
Kathleen Porter, author of Ageless Spine, Lasting Health, will offer a free slideshow and demonstration to members of our MeetUp Group on Saturday, November 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. Kathleen is on the faculty of the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY, has taught skeletal alignment through the University of Hawaii and will teach an upcoming course here in Portland at the National College of Natural Medicine.
Well-known author and physician Christiane Northrup, M.D. has written that “Kathleen Porter’s insights about skeletal alignment are destined to change the way we think about and inhabit our bodies.” Learning how to apply this information to one’s own self offers many long-term benefits. Aligning the skeleton has been successful in bringing lasting relief from chronic tension and pain to countless people.
