What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program. The program is designed to
elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. This is NOT a specialized
fitness program, but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in
each of the Ten Recognized Fitness Domains:
Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility,
Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
Who Should CrossFit?
The CrossFit program is based upon the fact that your needs and the Olympic
athlete's differ by degree not kind. It's amazing that the very same training
methods that elicit optimal response in the Olympic or professional athlete will
optimize the same response in the elderly. CrossFit is the ideal training method
for anyone interested in achieving their personal top level in health and fitness.
